Spring Thing brings together the best of what makes New Danville a great place for special needs adults to live, learn, work and grow to their potential. Your support makes Spring Thing the great event that it is.
Attendees will walk through the Market Place before entering the event ballroom. In the Market, they’ll meet Wranglers (New Danville clients) and staff while shopping for some of the products made with the assistance of Wranglers. They will also learn about New Danville’s classes and programs. After a bit of shopping, they’ll then enjoy the unique, uplifting, joy-filled spirit that New Danville’s Wranglers exude, which permeates the event, too.
This year’s event honors the Lynne and Steve Charbonneau family. The family’s commitment to New Danville is exemplary. Their company, Charbonneau Industries, is a modern master distributor of pipeline products and services. They developed their “Pallets to Partners” program, providing Wranglers with jobs assembling pallets for the company. The family also donated the construction of a building at New Danville for pallet work and more.
This year’s keynote speaker is Rory Feek, a singer-songwriter, storyteller, filmmaker, author and blogger. Most importantly to Rory is his role as father. His special needs daughter, Indiana, is the inspiration for much of what he does, including writing the best-selling book, This Life I Live. A Grammy-award winner, as part of Joey+Rory, he has written several hit songs, like “Some Beach,” by Blake Shelton. Rory is sure to provide wisdom, insights and love in his presentation.
